Laurence enjoyed his hobbies and sporting interests very much.
Shooting
He took up shooting at the age of 8 with a little .410 shotgun under the tuition of the gamekeeper Frank Chilham. [read more here]
Fishing
His interest in fishing stopped after childhood coarse fishing but started again later in life. He caught over 100 salmon/grilse in Eire on fishing holidays between 1984 and 2005. [read more here]
Golf
He did not play golf until he had more time from 1985 and then joined The Royal Ashdown Golf Club. [read more here]
Bridge
He and Rebeka took up bridge and had lessons at Tunbridge Wells and from ‘Mr Bridge’ on weekends away. They joined two bridge clubs and enjoyed duplicate bridge. [read more here]
Skiing
The highlight of his skiing was 8 holidays lead by Remington Norman, a Master of Wine specialising in Burgundy, and his wife in the 1990’s. Skiing all day and coming back to the chalet for wine tasting or nice wine with dinner. [read more here]
